Hello There,
My name is Shawana Boyer, and I am deeply passionate about helping women reclaim their lives after experiencing homelessness, abuse, or hardship. Over the years, I have walked alongside women navigating the painful realities of domestic violence, job loss, and economic instability, and I’ve witnessed how easily life can shift from security to survival.
Through those experiences, I came to understand that every woman deserves more than temporary relief; she deserves restoration, stability, and the opportunity to rise again. I’ve seen how a simple act of kindness, a safe home, or a word of encouragement can become the turning point in a woman’s story.
This belief inspired me to create Pretty Pearls EmpowerHer Alliance, Inc. a place where women are not just sheltered, but supported, mentored, and equipped to rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence. Our work goes beyond providing housing; it’s about cultivating hope, fostering independence, and helping each woman rediscover her purpose.
Every success story that emerges from Pretty Pearls reminds me why I started: to give women the tools to heal, to empower them to dream again, and to remind them that no matter how broken their beginning, they can still have a beautiful new chapter.

Pretty Pearls EmpowerHer Alliance, Inc. is an organization committed to empowering women as they transition from homelessness, abuse, or hardship to independent and stable living. Founded on the belief that every woman deserves dignity, purpose, and hope, our mission is to provide not only housing but also holistic support that addresses the emotional, financial, and spiritual needs of each woman we serve.
Our organization operates with the understanding that true transformation requires more than a roof—it requires resources, relationships, and restoration. Through our EmpowerHer Transitional Housing Program, we offer women a safe and nurturing environment where they can heal from trauma, regain their confidence, and rebuild their lives with structure and support.
Our Ladies;
Each participant receives individualized case management, connecting them with essential services such as job readiness training, financial literacy education, personal development workshops, and mental wellness support. Our programs are designed to help women set achievable goals, develop essential life skills, and ultimately transition into permanent housing, ultimately achieving self-sufficiency.
Pretty Pearls EmpowerHer Alliance creates pathways for women to overcome barriers, rediscover their worth, and pursue a future filled with stability and purpose.
Our goal is simple yet profound: to transform survivors into success stories and ensure every woman who enters our doors leaves knowing she is valuable, capable, and worthy of a new beginning.
The Need...
Need;
Across the United States, women continue to face a silent crisis—homelessness caused by trauma, abuse, and economic instability. Each statistic represents a real woman with a story, a struggle, and a desire to start again.
According to national data, more than 220,000 women experience homelessness on any given night, with the majority being single mothers or survivors of domestic violence.
Studies reveal that 57% of women cite domestic violence as the direct cause of losing their homes, often forced to choose between staying in an abusive situation or living on the streets.
In Florida, the reality is just as urgent:
1 in 4 women experience housing insecurity after a major life event such as divorce, job loss, or medical hardship.
68% of homeless women in the state are caring for at least one child.
Over 40% of women in shelters have returned to an unsafe home due to a lack of long-term housing options.
These numbers reveal a harsh truth: while emergency shelters provide temporary safety, most lack the long-term structure and empowerment programs that women need to truly rebuild their lives. Without stable housing, emotional healing, and employment support, many women fall back into the same cycles of dependency and despair.
